The second edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit will be held in the city of Yekaterinburg, the industrial heartland of Russia in July 2019, and will continue to intensify the impact of innovation and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies on the global manufacturing sector through the worldwide dissemination of knowledge, best practices and standards.

The conference will expand to highlight the role of nature-inspired technologies, its impact on manufacturing, its benefits to communities, and its role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Discussions will take place through interactive debates, sessions, and workshops designed to inspire the next generation of manufacturing leaders, innovators and pioneers.

#GMIS2019 will also include a dedicated exhibition platform to showcase leading manufacturing capabilities, disruptive technologies, international pavilions, and innovative startups and SMEs, and will present an opportunity for cross collaboration on innovative and transformational pilot projects, promoting new business initiatives amongst industry experts and leaders.

Our Host Russia

Russia’s machine-building industry provides for most of the country’s needs, including steam boilers and turbines, electric generators, grain combines, automobiles, and electric locomotives, and fills much of its demand for shipbuilding, electric-power-generating and transmitting equipment, consumer durables, machine tools, instruments, and automation components. Russian factories also produce armaments – including tanks, jet fighters, androckets – which are sold to many countries and contribute significantly to Russia’s export income.
